The article, starting from the recognition in the Italian Constitution of the value of the dignity of the person, the personalist principle and equal social dignity, also in the light of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, focuses on the principles outlined in the European Parliament resolution towards a common European action on care and the new regulations introduced in France and Spain to guarantee family caregivers, in order to outline possible reform ideas for the Italian system.
